finished the book Night, by Elie Weisel, please make sure to do so this weekend.

If you have quizzes to make up do so this week during tutorial.

If you have not yet turned in your Macbeth paper, this needs to be turned in ASAP!

Period 6: over the weekend write a 1/2 to full page creative entry in your notebooks from the perspective of Anne Frank's diary.

Period 7: Work on revising your Into the Wild essays. They are already brilliant so you are most of the way there. These are due by Friday of this week.

Night!

Period 6 and 7:

Read Chapter 6 and make sure you are on pace to finish the book by Friday.

Period 2: read up to page 85 by Thursday and be on pace to finish over the weekend.

Both classes should be tracking interesting moments as well as those that stand out as moments when an individual or a group chose silence over speaking (of vice versa) or action over inaction (or vice versa). What are the real costs of silence? What are the prices paid for action?

Read up to page 47 in Night!

You need to be taking down notes and quotes (in your journal or with sticky notes) which are examples of moments in which a decision was made--to speak out and speak up or to stay silent. Also collect quotes you think are interesting or thought provoking.

We will begin the research process this week.

Final Papers Due!

All classes must have final papers in by Thursday.

All Macbeth memorized lines must be shared.

Periods 6 and 7 must read up to page 47 by Wednesday in Night.

Period 2: We will pick up your books on Thursday.

Final Papers Due Monday

Period 2: Macbeth paper due final format Tuesday (because we have a Friday schedule Monday).

Period 6 and 7: Final Draft Papers due on Monday.

Period 2: You need to have your template all the way filled out so that you can begin typing your rough draft of your Macbeth paper Thursday. It will be due this coming Monday.

Period 6: You need to have your template filled out as well. Typed drafts are due on Friday, for peer-editing, and finals Monday.

Anyone who has yet to present memorized lines from Macbeth needs to do it this week to get credit for it.

Period 7: We will be in the computer lab tomorrow and you should be finished typing your rough drafts of your Argumentative papers on Into the Wild. Typed drafts are due for peer-editing Friday.
